Rev. John D. Brinson, M.Div. (Associate Minister)
Rev. Brinson earned a M.Div. degree from San Francisco Theological Seminary in 1980. He is a student of the human condition, using written craft to influence the minds of Africans in Africa and the Diaspora towards becoming free of the limitations imposed by the racist world and its negative impact on the inner spirit. His latest book, When God Was Black, embraces an African Centric approach and is published by Outskirts Press.

Rev. Lilton Powell, Jr. (Associate Minister)
Rev. Powell serves as the Superintendent of Sunday School as well as Chair of the Van/Transportation Ministry.

Alfred Sellers (Chairman, Board of Deacons)
The Deacon ministry serves all of the families within our church. Other members of the Deacon Board include: Deacon Henderson Wallace, Deacon Russell Winston, II and Deacon Duane Molex.

Ursula Milburn (Chair, Board of Deaconess)
In conjunction with the Pastor and board of Deacons, the Deaconess board serves the families of the church.  In addition to her Deaconness duties, Sis. Ursula Milburn is a dedicated member of the St. James Choir and Usher Board.

Patricia A. Williams
(Mission/WMU President)
Along with her duties to the Mission/WMU department, Patricia Williams serves as First Lady of St. James.

Barbara J. Powell(Ushers Department)
Barbara Powell has been a member of St. James for all of the 63 years of the church existence. She serves as the President of the Usher Board, as well as a member on the  Deaconess and Trustee boards. She is a tireless and dedicated worker.

Cecelia Taylor(Church Clerk, Webservant)
Cecelia Taylor serves as the Church Clerk as well as administrator of this site. She also works with the Finance Department and teaches Sunday School on the second Sunday of the month. She is married and has two young children.
